Frequently asked questions

Spector patients can expect to receive results automatically emailed to their inbox within 48 hours of being tested. ** Please also check you Spam or Junk Folder** **Please note that some patients may receive results well before the 48-hours; HOWEVER, this largely depends on our specimen volume. In order to fit the time expectations of when your test result is needed, please use our 48-hour turnaround time as a guideline for establishing your plans. In the case that our result timings increase, our readily available customer service team will be glad to offer accurate turnaround times upon being contacted.** support@spectorlab.com or call 561-507-0522.
After you receive an email from our automated resulting system - you can expect to follow the instructions provided in the body of the email. Visit www.spectorportal.com, where you will be prompted to enter a username and password. (Don’t panic!) Your username is your email address, while your password will be your phone number without any spaces or dashes.
If you’ve received an email from us but are having trouble logging in, worry not. Our team of customer support experts are here to provide you with the assistance needed. Some common messages that patients receive are “Wrong username or password,” and even “Account is locked, only admins may unlock it.” If faced with these issues, kindly send an email to support@spectorlab.com detailing the issue AND providing the following information:  
  • First and last name
  • Date of Birth
  • Telephone Number
  • Email
Our laboratory has a specially integrated system that will automatically send results when they are available for you to view; however, patients may check our portal (www.spectorportal.com) 48 hours after their time of testing even if they haven’t received an automated email. (Use your email address as the username, and phone number without spaces or dashes as the password.) Patients are also always more than welcome to obtain precise updates on the status of their tests by calling our laboratory or emailing our support team at 561-507-0522 / support@spectorlab.com

Spector Scientific lab provides a wide range of testing menus that are available for our partnering facilities and patients.
Our most popular tests include the COVID-19 PCR , the COVID-19 antigen, and the COVID-19 IgM IgM (antibody) tests.

Spector Scientific Lab offers any and everybody the opportunity to be tested at no out of pocket cost. The only documentation that is necessary for this are ONE the following forms of identification:

Valid Driver’s license
A Valid Passport from any Country
-A valid Insurance card

**Please note that this does not apply for rapid antigen, or covid igg/igm tests. There is a fee for these tests**

Our laboratory’s availability for in-house testing normally depends on the trend of volume that we experience during the given time period. In order to secure your spot at our laboratory for your testing needs, please email support@spectorlab.com or call

**Walk-ins are accepted after 11 am, but limited to parties of 4 people.**

Our lab’s hours of operation are as follows:

Monday - Friday:
9 AM to 7 PM (customer service)
9 AM to 4:45 PM (in-house testing)

Weekends (Saturday and Sunday):
9 AM to 7 PM (customer service)
10 AM to 1:45 PM (in-house testing)
