Urine Drug Testing (UDT)

Urine Drug Testing is required for the identification of illicit use of drugs, misuse or non-medical use of pharmaceutical drugs, or inappropriate use of other substances.

Order UDT to:

Detect undisclosed drug abuse

Monitor compliance of patients in treatment for addiction

Evaluate chronic pain management patients on opioid therapy

UDT is necessary for monitoring the following prescribed medications:

Opioid medication

Antidepressants

Anticonvulsants

Neuroleptics

Antispasmodics & Muscle Relaxants

Definitive Drug testing

Spector Scientific Lab performs definitive drug testing using liquid chromatography (LC) and tandem mass spectrometry (MS).

LCMS is the most precise and selective testing technique. With fewer human steps it provides faster turn-around time, requires less specimen volume and allows testing for a big number of substances simultaneously.

LCMS Definitive Drug Testing identifies a specific drug or metabolite in urine samples. The extended panel includes up to 24 drug classes (~74 analytes).

Identify the qualitative amount of drugs when a definitive concentration is required for guiding the treatment
